EXCLUSIVE: One of Britain's dodgiest streets for eating out has been revealed. A whopping 19 takeaways, restaurants and pubs have zero-star ratings on Leytonstone High Road, east London. None of them display their actual rating, but some show four-star ratings in their windows - even though their current rank is nowhere near that and some of the inspections took place more than a year ago. Many of the owners claim a rogue inspector stitched them up but locals tell a different story. Passers-by told MailOnline they were 'not surprised' to learn so many food spots in the area had given abysmal zero-star ratings, which mean 'urgent improvement is necessary'.

Floody HELL! New-build homeowners forced to build makeshift barricades to stop torrents of

EXCLUSIVE: Residents on a smart hillside estate fear their homes could be swept away after a mystery leak sent torrents of water gushing through their properties. The desperate homeowners have had to install their own makeshift defences to stop water flooding their homes. Householders who paid up to £650,000 for their homes in Templars Gate in Halifax, West Yorkshire, say thousands of gallons of water cascading from the hill above their homes have put them at risk of landslides and flooding. Why I couldn't disagree more with the hoo-ha over My Mum, your Dad's widower Roger Hawes

ALEX DELANEY: Closing the door to my first-floor flat and walking down the stairs, I spotted my neighbour at our communal front door. After giving me a thorough inspection, she suspiciously asked: 'Are you going on a date?' I won't ever forget those words, so crisply delivered in stinging judgement. The truth was, I was meeting a rather lovely man. Someone I had made an effort for - smart jeans, eye-catching top, some makeup, too. And she noticed. Why was she was so astonished and judgey? Because my husband had died only six months before. Her words rang in my ears all night, but I still had a good time on London's South Bank. My date George had touchingly brought a picnic along with a flask of mulled wine too.

Tortured and raped in a soundproof dungeon as they were slowly starved to death: How

Dutroux - who to this day still lives in infamy in the minds of the Belgian public - was part of a small group of people found responsible for a horrifying series of murders and kidnappings that shocked not just the country, but the whole of Europe. His former house in the Marcinelle suburb of Charleroi - and Dutroux himself - first became infamous in August 1996 when he led police to two kidnapped girls who were found cowering in the secret basement after they had been subjected to horrific abuse. Sabine Dardenne, 12, and Laetitia Delhez, 14, had been abducted separately earlier that year, chained to a bed and repeatedly raped. But as more was learned about Dutroux, it became clear they were fortunate to have been found alive. It transpired that four more girls - Mélissa Russo and Julie Lejeune, both eight years old, An Marchal, 17, and Eefje Lambrecks, 19 - had also been kidnapped by Dutroux and his accomplices a year earlier. All four died.

How Katherine Ryan could have the last laugh on Russell Brand! Comic who warned of 'sexual

Comedian Katherine Ryan (left) could earn millions of pounds if she capitalises on her new role as the new face of the #MeToo movement. Katherine Ryan, 40, repeatedly accused Russell Brand, 48, (right) of being a 'sexual predator' during filming for his last major television job (inset the pair on the show Roast Battle together) in the UK before he was dropped from the show. That was years before Brand was accused of rape and sexual assault in an investigation by The Times, The Sunday Times and Channel 4 published earlier this month, in which former colleagues claimed they had acted as 'pimps' to pass messages to attractive audience members. He has vehemently denied the allegations - but the BBC, Channel 4 and production firm Banijay have launched investigations into his behaviour, while the Met Police says it is investigating a complaint received at the weekend. PR guru Penelope Banton told MailOnline Ryan could earn millions if she uses the coverage surrounding her part in the Russell Brand saga as a 'springboard' for her career.
